Duties and Responsibilities

 To provide veterinary health services;

To conduct veterinary disease investigations in his/her area of ​​work in accordance with the law;

 To Prepare and manage plans for the prevention, control and eradication of livestock diseases in its area;

To uphold animal rights;

To participate in the investigation of wildlife diseases in its area;

To Supervise and coordinate compliance with Disease Regulations and Laws, inspection of livestock and their products and livestock inputs

To Coordinate and supervise slaughterhouse sanitation and meat inspection activities in his/her work area;

To Prepare animal health reports in his/her area of ​​work; and

To perform any other duties within his/her field as assigned by his/her superior.

Qualifications

Recruitment of holders of a Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Medicine from Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) or an equivalent qualification from another University recognized by the Government who are registered with the Tanzania Veterinary Council
