Officer – Systems and Applications Developer

What You’ll Do
· Design, develop, and maintain
in-house software applications that support the school's operations.
· Work with departments across the
school to understand business requirements and develop practical software
solutions.
· Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve
existing applications to ensure reliable performance.
· Develop clean, secure and
maintainable software following School development standards.
· Test, debug, and review software to
ensure quality and reliability.
· Support system integrations
with internal and third-party applications.
· Create technical documentation, user
guides, and training materials.
· Train users on newly developed
systems and provide technical support when required.
· Monitor emerging technologies and
recommend improvements that enhance efficiency across the school.
· Collaborate with the Corporate
Applications team to resolve user support requests and continuously improve
existing systems.
What We’re Looking For
· A minimum of a Diploma in Computer
Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is
required.
· Experience developing software
applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
· Good understanding of software
development principles, databases, and system integration.
· Experience developing web
applications using PHP, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, and relational
databases.
· Experience working with jQuery, AJAX,
RESTful APIs, and Git version control.
· Experience troubleshooting software
issues and maintaining business applications.
· Ability to gather user requirements
and translate them into software solutions.
· Strong documentation, communication,
and teamwork skills.
· Experience with software testing,
debugging, and version control is an advantage.
· A willingness to continuously learn emerging technologies and industry best practices.
